Senior Software Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• We require solid programming skills in Python, plus experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• We require hands-on experience with ML model deployment and monitoring in production.
• We require knowledge of containerization, including Docker.
• We require experience building CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.
• We require experience working within startups or scaleups.
• We require strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• We require knowledge of Agile delivery models such as Scrum or Kanban, and software development best practices.
• We require hands-on experience building production-grade systems.
• We prefer understanding of optimizing both CPU-bound and GPU-bound workloads.
• We prefer knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• We prefer experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.
• We prefer experience with Azure.
• We prefer experience identifying and resolving bottlenecks in distributed machine learning workloads; knowledge of low-level languages and the CUDA library is a plus.
• We prefer experience building design automation products within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• We work at the intersection of software engineering and machine learning operations.
• We design and build services, evolve system architecture, improve reliability, resolve issues, and make sound trade-offs in areas such as database design and schema evolution.
• We ensure models run reliably, efficiently, and at scale.
• We turn research into production-ready tools.
• We deploy, monitor, and optimize AI workloads using Python and solid software engineering practices.
