Job Description

Salary: £30,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require a minimum of 6+ years of experience designing and developing Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
  • We require strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, including Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
  • We require strong hands-on experience with Power Automate, including Cloud Flows.
  • We require strong hands-on experience with Power BI and Microsoft Dataverse.
  • We require experience integrating solutions with Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, SQL Server, REST APIs, and Azure Services.
  • We require strong knowledge of Power Fx, DAX, Power Query, Data Modelling, Security Roles, and Permissions.
  • We require experience with Azure DevOps, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • We require understanding of Power Platform governance, Managed Environments, and DLP policies.
  • We require experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • We require extensive Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
  • We require experience delivering multiple enterprise-scale Power Platform implementations.
  • We require a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • We value experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications.
  • We value exposure to Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Integration Services.
  • We value experience supporting enterprise-scale Power Platform implementations.
  • We value knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • We design, develop, test, deploy, and support solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
  • We create scalable applications, automate business processes, and deliver reporting and analytics solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
  • We design, develop, and maintain Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
  • We create user-friendly applications aligned with business requirements.
  • We implement role-based access controls and security models.
  • We integrate Power Apps with Dataverse, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and external systems.
  • We conduct troubleshooting, bug fixing, and application enhancements.
  • We build and maintain Cloud Flows and workflow automation solutions.
  • We develop approval processes, notifications, integrations, and data synchronisation workflows.
  • We integrate solutions with Dataverse, Dynamics 365, SQL Server, SharePoint Online, REST APIs, and third-party applications.
  • We monitor and optimise process performance and reliability.
  • We design and develop dashboards, reports, and data visualisation solutions.
  • We create and optimise DAX calculations, semantic models, and Power Query transformations.
  • We translate business reporting requirements into actionable insights.
  • We ensure reporting performance, security, and governance standards are maintained.
  • We participate in requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • We produce technical documentation and deployment guides.
  • We support Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) activities.
  • We participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimations, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • We collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • We adhere to Power Platform governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • We support environment management, Managed Environments, and DLP policy implementation.
  • We participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities.
  • We assist with CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance using Azure DevOps.

We are HCLTechs Microsoft Business Applications Practice, and we are seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Developer for a 4-month+ contract assignment in Edinburgh. The role is on-site, starts ASAP, and is offered at market rate inside IR35.
