AV Build Engineer

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of AV systems and components would be a distinct advantage, as would any knowledge of racking, cabling, HDMI, Ethernet, and USB.
• Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, as needed, to support events and installations.
• A valid drivers license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation and racking of AV equipment, including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing devices.
• Handle cabling tasks, including running and terminating HDMI, Ethernet, and USB cables.
• Set up and configure AV connections for televisions, monitors, and other display devices.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of AV systems, ensuring optimal performance and resolving technical issues.
• Support senior engineers with system testing, configuration, and quality assurance.
• Conduct site surveys to determine AV requirements and assist in the design of customised AV solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and industry trends to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
