AI Product Owner & Delivery Lead

Salary: £39,000 - 79,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced AI programme or product leader who can bridge business strategy, technology, and delivery.
• You have a strong understanding of AI and data technologies, including machine learning, NLP, computer vision, generative AI, and agentic AI, and how they support operational efficiency.
• You have proven success managing cross-functional AI or digital transformation programmes, ideally in consulting or asset-intensive industries such as energy, mining, chemicals, or manufacturing.
• You can map business processes and identify opportunities for automation or augmentation.
• You are familiar with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, as well as APIs, integration tools, and ethical AI principles.
• You have solid experience with agile delivery and vendor or partner management.
• You bring excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills and can engage both executives and technical specialists.
• You have a track record of delivering tangible outcomes, not just pilots or proofs of concept.
• You hold a bachelors or masters degree in engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
• You have 5–10 years experience in AI project delivery, digital transformation, or technology-enabled consulting.
• Certifications in AI or ML, Agile, or Change Management are an advantage.
• You are fluent in English, with additional languages considered a plus.
• You are based ideally in the UK, with flexibility to work regionally.

Responsibilities:

• We lead the end-to-end AI use-case identification and implementation process, from ideation and prioritisation to deployment and adoption.
• We act as product owner and delivery lead for AI conversation agents and other automation initiatives, ensuring they deliver clear operational and financial outcomes.
• We partner with consulting practices, functional leaders, and technical teams to map workflows, identify transformation opportunities, and embed AI solutions.
• We track emerging technologies and releases, including Microsoft and OpenAI, to assess relevance and translate them into actionable opportunities.
• We build and maintain a framework for AI-driven efficiency so results are measurable and sustainable.
• We support capability building and change management by training colleagues and champions to adopt new tools.
• We contribute to thought leadership on AI, innovation, and responsible technology deployment within high-hazard industries.
