Data Integration Geoscientist
Job Description
Salary: £69,000 - 109,000 per year
Requirements:- We require an honours degree in geoscience, ideally 2:1 or above.
- We require a strong understanding of geoscience domains such as stratigraphy, sedimentology, or petroleum geology.
- We require experience working with subsurface datasets such as wireline, seismic, biostratigraphy, geochemistry, rock properties, or lithology.
- We require strong Python programming skills.
- We require experience with relational databases.
- We require familiarity with AI/ML and its potential to support geoscience interpretation.
- We require experience with ETL pipelines and data cleaning.
- We require excellent communication and teamwork skills in a collaborative R&D environment.
- We prefer awareness of data analysis within common dashboard platforms.
- We prefer experience in the energy sector.
- We work as an experienced geoscientist with a data science background within our customer data integration team.
- We collaborate with colleagues from multiple disciplines to refine and enhance workflows, especially supporting customer workflows and customer data types.
- We stay current with AI/ML technology and geoscience advancements to drive innovation.
- We contribute to customer presentations, particularly regarding customer data and associated workflows.
- We help shape the future of subsurface interpretation and modelling from our Abingdon office.
- We work in a hybrid arrangement and attend our Abingdon office three days a week.
