Senior Consultant - Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Techno Functional UK

Salary: £24,000 - 59,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 10+ years of experience implementing Oracle Fusion HCM across Core HR, Absence, Payroll and Performance for UK public sector clients.
• We require hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Management implementation and/or AMS support.
• We require strong knowledge of UK absence processes, including sickness, maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave and holiday management.
• We require experience with eligibility profiles, work schedules, calendars, absence plans, accrual rules and approval workflows.
• We require the ability to work with Fast Formula and technical teams on absence accrual, validation and payroll interface requirements.
• We require strong testing, defect triage, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
• We require knowledge of HCM technical tools, including HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formula and Payroll batch loader.
• We prefer excellent release planning and delivery planning skills.
• We prefer strong problem-solving skills.
• We prefer experience coaching and mentoring team members, including managing teams of 5+ people.
• We prefer experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies.
• We value high analytical skills, high customer orientation and high quality awareness.

Responsibilities:

• We lead functional analysis, configuration and support for Oracle Fusion Absence Management for UK operations.
• We configure absence plans, types, reasons, eligibility profiles, accrual rules, certifications, balances, work schedules, public holidays and integrations with payroll/time modules as applicable.
• We translate UK absence policy requirements into scalable Fusion configuration and clearly documented functional design decisions.
• We support end-to-end testing, including unit testing, system integration testing, UAT, regression testing and payroll-impact validation for absence entries and balances.
• We work with payroll, HR operations and technical teams to resolve absence defects, data issues and integration failures.
• We prepare functional specifications for reports, extracts, integrations, conversions and Fast Formula requirements linked to absence processes.
• We support production incidents, root cause analysis, change requests, release regression and operational handover documentation.
• We engage business stakeholders to clarify requirements, explain solution options and manage risks around absence/payroll dependencies.
• We lead client engagements covering integrations, data migrations and reporting across relevant modules.
• We guide projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ensure smooth delivery and top system performance.
• We translate complex technical solutions into clear insights for technical teams and senior management.
