PLC / SCADA Software Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience developing PLC and control software within industrial environments
• Strong Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience, including RSLogix
• Experience developing and maintaining SCADA systems
• Understanding of automated plant, manufacturing, or process-based environments
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding capability
• The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• A structured approach to software development and system testing

Responsibilities:

• Develop PLC software used to control industrial plant and process equipment
• Create, modify, and support SCADA applications
• Translate process requirements into practical automation solutions
• Work closely with Process Engineers to develop software functionality and system operation
• Configure and maintain software in line with established engineering standards
• Support testing, validation, and commissioning activities
• Investigate faults and implement software improvements where required
• Produce and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with wider engineering teams throughout project delivery

We are hiring for a PLC / SCADA Software Engineer to join our Engineering & Projects team in Wolverhampton, working on projects from initial design through to testing, commissioning support, and ongoing system development. This is a hybrid role with two days in the office each week, offering a salary of £55,000 to £65,000.
