Data Engineer or Junior Electrician with IPAF

Salary: £46,800 - 52,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require strong knowledge of computer networking concepts, including Ethernet, VLANs, routing protocols, and network security practices.
• We require hands-on experience with CCTV systems, VoIP solutions, Avaya communication platforms, Juniper devices, and Cisco routers.
• We require proficiency in telecommunication system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• We require the ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring and network layouts.
• We require skill in using hand tools for equipment installation or repair tasks.
• We require experience with electrical systems related to telecommunication or networking hardware.
• We require familiarity with safety protocols associated with IPAF certification for working at heights or operating elevated work platforms.

Responsibilities:

• We design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines to support real-time and batch data processing across multiple systems.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions using schematics, Ethernet configurations, and network installation techniques.
• We maintain and troubleshoot telecommunication systems, including CCTV, VoIP, Avaya, Juniper, and Cisco routers, to ensure uninterrupted connectivity and security.
• We implement network security measures and monitor network performance using industry-standard tools.
• We conduct equipment repair and maintenance on computer hardware, networking devices, and telecommunication equipment as needed.
• We develop detailed documentation of network schematics, system configurations, and installation procedures for future reference.
• We ensure compliance with safety standards associated with IPAF certification during all operational activities involving elevated platforms or specialized equipment.
