Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced Network Security & Infrastructure Architect with strong expertise in enterprise networking, network security, and infrastructure architecture.
• We need hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and Software Defined Access (SDA).
• We require proven experience with firewall platforms, including Check Point and other leading security technologies.
• We need a deep understanding of network security principles, segmentation, zero-trust architectures, and secure access controls.
• We require experience conducting network assessments, architecture reviews, and transformation programs.
• We need knowledge of data center networking, hosted environments, cloud connectivity, and edge network architectures.
• We value familiarity with industry security frameworks and best practices.
• A bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, CISM, Check Point certifications, or equivalent are preferred.
• Experience leading large-scale network modernization and security transformation initiatives is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management, documentation, and presentation skills are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• We will lead enterprise network transformation, security hardening, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• We will assess, design, and implement secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions across enterprise, data center, hosted, and edge environments.
• We will review and assess the current enterprise network security posture, architecture, and operational controls.
• We will define and implement network security policies aligned with industry best practices and security frameworks.
• We will identify security gaps, vulnerabilities, and configuration weaknesses across the enterprise network landscape.
• We will develop recommendations and remediation plans to strengthen network security and compliance.
• We will reconfigure and optimize Software Defined Access (SDA) and data center network environments based on assessment findings and best-practice recommendations.
• We will collaborate with security, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure consistent policy enforcement and governance.
• We will conduct firewall estate reviews and drive firewall policy alignment initiatives to ensure consistent rule sets across environments.
• We will develop a comprehensive Check Point firewall replacement strategy, including discovery, assessment, architecture design, technology evaluation, migration planning, and business case development.
• We will evaluate existing Cisco routing infrastructure and identify opportunities for performance, resiliency, and operational improvements.
• We will lead routing assessment activities, including network discovery, design validation, and implementation planning.
• We will implement routing enhancements and optimization recommendations across enterprise and edge environments.
• We will develop a strategic network refresh roadmap covering hardware lifecycle management, technology modernization, capacity planning, and future-state architecture.
• We will produce deliverables including enterprise network security posture assessments, SDA and data center optimization plans, firewall alignment strategies, Check Point migration roadmaps, Cisco routing enhancement assessments, and enterprise network refresh roadmaps.
