Symfony (PHP) Developer

Salary: £45,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require at least 1 year of Symfony development experience.
• We require experience with database design and Doctrine ORM, including performance optimisation.
• We require knowledge of REST API design principles.
• We require experience writing modern PHP.
• We require experience using Git version control.
• We prefer experience with API Platform, although this is not essential.
• We prefer experience with infrastructure and deployment tools such as Docker, AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes, although this is not essential.
• We require excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• We require a passion for building things and learning new skills.
• We require strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities:

• We work as part of a team to turn product designs and specifications into APIs used by the apps our front-end developers build.
• We follow our internal processes, best practices, and coding standards.
• We perform routine maintenance, updates, and refactoring on existing projects.
• We participate in project planning and clearly report progress in our project management software.
• We investigate and resolve bugs or issues reported by users or clients.
• We submit work as pull requests and respond to code review comments from the team.
• We provide feedback to help improve our processes and best practices across our projects.

We work collaboratively in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with the remaining days flexible for remote work. The role is full-time and permanent, based in London SE1 0HS, with hybrid working and casual dress.
