Tech Practice Principal - Infrastructure Security Lead

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Extensive professional experience building, securing, and deploying enterprise-scale infrastructure specifically within Microsoft Azure.
• Deep expertise in end-to-end security of complex digital systems, including a strong working knowledge of Azure cloud security frameworks, identity management, and secure-by-design principles.
• Proven experience providing line management, pastoral care, and operational leadership for remote or nearshore DevOps and SRE teams.
• Strong ability to build trust quickly, evaluate options, and translate complex business requirements into actionable strategic infrastructure plans during periods of rapid growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical direction of a high-profile platform infrastructure and security initiative.
• Oversee the end-to-end security of digital systems supporting multiple eCommerce platforms and Salesforce integrations.
• Establish and maintain strong security postures using Azure-native security frameworks, threat protection protocols, and compliance best practices.
• Ensure the long-term health, security, and scalability of our infrastructure ecosystem, including tooling, logs, and service resolution.
• Make pragmatic decisions balancing speed-to-market with security and technical excellence.
• Drive a culture of technical pride and set the gold standard for infrastructure and security routines.
• Ensure robust CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment practices across the ecosystem.
• Take full accountability for delivering infrastructure and security outcomes on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Manage and support a distributed team of onshore and nearshore DevOps/SRE engineers.
• Act as the bridge between onshore stakeholders and distributed engineering teams.
• Navigate stakeholder discussions across cloud deployment, security compliance, platform resilience, and roadmap priorities.
• Help senior executives achieve their business ambitions through effective technical leadership.
