Product Support Analyst

Salary: £28,000 - 34,000 per year

Requirements:

• Educated to A level or equivalent standard with strong verbal and written communication.
• Previous experience of problem solving in a second-line software support role would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience of SQL, Java-based software, automated testing, Google Workspace, or data and IT security would be beneficial, although not essential.
• We are looking for an organised and thoughtful individual who can think logically and precisely.
• We value someone who is naturally curious and enjoys learning and researching new things.
• We need a confident and amiable person with the ability to build rapport quickly.

Responsibilities:

• We help improve our software products by investigating and resolving user, technical, and administrative issues with each system.
• We work directly with customers and interact with people who have differing levels of knowledge and skills.
• We focus on quality and thoroughness in handling incoming queries.
• We build an understanding of our technical environments, software products, business processes, and customer requirements.
• We support ongoing role development, with opportunities to move into project management, software development, or pre-sales support.

We are a small company with more than 30 years of history, based in central Newbury near the rail station. This is a full-time, office-based role, working five days a week in the office, and free parking is not provided, so we are keen to find someone who already lives within easy commuting distance of Newbury. The role is customer-facing and offers plenty of opportunities for training, learning new skills, and developing over time as we grow your understanding of our software products and business processes.
