ICT Consultant
Job Description
Salary: £30,000 - 30,000 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for someone with a real flair for technology and a passion for providing exemplary customer service.
- You must hold a UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
- You should have at least 2 years experience in an ICT Technician or 2nd line support role, ideally within education, although this is not essential.
- You need good knowledge of common user applications and experience using Microsoft Office 365.
- You should be passionate about IT, with a strong technical background.
- You must be self-motivated, a team player, and able to work independently.
- You should have strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- You need a courteous manner and the ability to explain technical issues in laymans terms.
- You should take a proactive approach to identifying service improvements.
- You must be willing to undergo enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
- We support schools across Richmond upon Thames, including Twickenham, Richmond, Hampton, Uxbridge and Hayes.
- We maintain IT hardware and services across school sites.
- We help schools improve their ICT provision so they can deliver effective teaching and learning through ICT solutions.
- We facilitate communication between schools and our team, keeping them updated on the services we offer.
- We manage customer accounts.
- We maintain school computer equipment.
- We install new and existing software across the network.
- We provide technical support to users and resolve technical issues.
- We resolve and manage technical issues affecting the running of the school.
- We install or repair computers with standardised applications and networking software.
- We diagnose and solve problems arising in computer operations.
- We respond to technical duties relating to computer networks and desktop services, including upgrades.
- We support equipment such as desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns and other hardware.

We are Turn IT on, part of the Transforming Learning Group, and we provide hands-on ICT and computing support, MIS support, GDPR services, consultancy and training to schools. We operate across eight brands and support over 5,000 schools across England with the help of nearly 450 staff. We put schools and their needs first so they can focus on teaching and learning. This is a full-time, full-year role based supporting schools in Richmond upon Thames and surrounding areas.
