FPGA / Firmware Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Good years of experience in FPGA/firmware development
• Strong knowledge of digital electronics and signal integrity
• Experience with FPGA toolchains such as Vivado, Quartus, or Libero
• Understanding of control systems such as PID for motion or electromechanical systems
• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or similar
• Desirable: experience with ARM SoC, for example Zynq
• Desirable: C/C++ or Python experience

Responsibilities:

• We design and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and Verilog
• We develop real-time firmware for embedded systems and processor cores
• We integrate sensors, ADCs, DACs, and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART
• We develop digital signal processing pipelines and data acquisition systems
• We perform hands-on debugging and validation using lab equipment
• We implement high-speed data transfer interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, or PCIe
