Automation Analyst

Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a functional or business analyst role with exposure to system design and implementation
• Practical experience delivering workflow, automation, and integration solutions
• Demonstrated experience with workflow and low-code platforms such as PowerApps, Power Automate, K Rise, SharePoint, or Oracle Orchestrator
• Understanding of APIs, data integration, and system connectivity principles
• Ability to learn new tools quickly and adapt to evolving technologies
• Understanding of UX and design principles for user-friendly solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively
• Good business and technology acumen within a commercial environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work calmly under pressure
• Proactive, self-motivated mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and support AI-enabled automation, workflow, and low-code solutions across the business
• Develop AI-assisted use cases such as content generation, summarisation, classification, decision support, and workflow augmentation
• Configure and support AI agents and AI-enabled workflows within defined architectural and governance standards
• Translate business requirements into functional designs and working solutions
• Develop and support workflows using approved platforms such as Power Automate, K Rise, and Microsoft 365 services
• Build intuitive, user-friendly PowerApps to replace or enhance manual processes
• Apply reusable templates, patterns, and components to ensure consistency and accelerate delivery
• Test AI, workflow, and automation solutions to ensure reliability, accuracy, and usability
• Monitor solutions after deployment, identify defects, and implement enhancements
• Provide level 2/3 support for AI and automation solutions, working with IT Operations as required
• Support workshops, requirement gathering, and solution walkthroughs
• Assist in measuring outcomes such as time saved, adoption, and process improvement
• Build solutions in line with platform standards, security controls, and data governance policies
• Follow deployment, versioning, and documentation practices
• Escalate risks or non-standard requirements to the AI & Automation Platform Manager
• Stay current with evolving AI, Power Platform, and workflow capabilities
