Software Engineer (React Native)

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need strong proficiency in full-stack development with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
• We need extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
• We need solid experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• We need proficiency with Azure DevOps and GitHub for development workflows.
• We need experience with observability tools, particularly Datadog.
• We need knowledge of security scanning and code quality tools.
• We need familiarity with feature flag management tools such as LaunchDarkly.
• We value experience building AI-enabled solutions in enterprise environments, including prompt-driven workflows, retrieval-augmented systems, and AI agents.
• We value experience applying structured evaluation, testing, and monitoring practices to ensure AI outputs are reliable, secure, and compliant.
• We value experience preparing and managing data for AI workflows and supporting the responsible lifecycle of AI features from experimentation through deployment and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• We champion solid engineering fundamentals, including effective use of source control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices.
• We use Azure DevOps and GitHub for work management, repositories, pipelines, and artifacts.
• We implement comprehensive observability solutions using Datadog for monitoring and performance optimisation.
• We ensure security and code quality through automated scanning and testing processes.
• We use LaunchDarkly for feature flag management and controlled rollouts.
• We design and develop full-stack applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.
• We build and maintain cloud-native solutions across AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions, and AWS Lex.
• We implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to ensure consistent, scalable deployments.
• We develop mobile applications using React Native with Expo where applicable.
• We collaborate with software engineering managers, principal software engineers, product teams, security teams, and infrastructure teams to deliver meaningful outcomes at pace.
