1st Line IT Technician

Salary: £24,707 - 24,707 per year

Requirements:

• Experience configuring, supporting and troubleshooting Windows 11 desktops and laptops, with strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Confident using Microsoft 365 applications with excellent general IT skills
• Level 3 IT qualification or equivalent, alongside GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on first-class customer service
• A positive team player who can work independently, use initiative and build effective working relationships
• Highly organised and accurate, with the ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing demands and meet deadlines
• Successful applicants will need to agree to an enhanced DBS check including child and if required adult barred list checks

• Provide outstanding technical support to staff and students
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
• Manage helpdesk requests
• Build strong relationships with customers
• Support the deployment, installation and maintenance of desktop and mobile devices

We are Yeovil College and we are looking for a 1st Line IT Technician to join our IT Services team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting a wide range of devices and systems, with the opportunity to build technical experience while making a real difference to staff and students.
