Why this role is unique

• Own the General Ledger for multiple German legal entities.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and HGB.
• Contribute to finance transformation and continuous process improvements.
• Work closely with international finance teams across the AutoScout24 Group.

 

What you'll do

• Maintain the General Ledger for German legal entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in line with Group accounting policies, IFRS, HGB and local statutory requirements.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements, annual audits and other local reporting requirements.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are investigated and resolved.
• Assist with monthly VAT returns and related tax compliance activities.
• Support the global intercompany reconciliation process and collaborate with finance teams across the Group.
• Contribute to system improvements and finance projects that enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

 

What you'll bring

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification or active studies towards ACCA, ACA, CPA, Bilanzbuchhalter, Steuerfachwirt or an equivalent qualification.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and HGB.
• Experience in General Ledger Accounting or Legal Entity Accounting within a medium to large international organisation.
• Experience with ERP systems; Workday Financials is a plus.
• Fluent German and English.
