Senior Software Engineer

Salary: £76,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• Around 4 years of embedded software engineering experience in aerospace, defence, or other mission- or safety-critical domains.
• Ability to develop robust, high-quality high-integrity software, such as RTCA-DO178C-compliant software, using object-oriented C++ or Ada.
• Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and learn from senior engineers.
• Interest in automation across build, test, and deployment processes.
• Willingness to work directly with target hardware in lab environments.
• Exposure to real-time embedded applications on Linux or VxWorks RTOS is desirable.
• Understanding of the software engineering lifecycle from requirements through delivery.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to best practices.
• A good attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

• Contribute to designing and delivering high-integrity embedded software solutions.
• Develop technical skills while collaborating with experienced engineers.
• Work within multi-disciplinary teams to support advanced defence projects.
• Participate in hands-on integration and lab-based work with target hardware.
• Support the software engineering lifecycle from requirements through delivery.
