Senior Software Engineer

Salary: £70,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong Python backend engineering experience
• Strong SQL and database fundamentals
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data migration, or system integrations
• Production experience with FastAPI, plus Django or Flask
• Understanding of data modelling, validation, deduplication, and safe import patterns
• Knowledge of transactions, consistency, and production data workflows
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and containerised environments
• Practical experience using AI coding tools or LLM APIs
• Clear communication and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with CRM systems, FinTech, payments, or operations platforms is nice to have
• Experience building internal tools for operations or migration workflows is nice to have
• Experience with observability, logging, monitoring, and CI/CD is nice to have
• Additional language skills such as Java, C#, C++, Kotlin, or Scala are nice to have
• Experience applying LLMs in production is nice to have

Responsibilities:

• Build scalable, production-grade backend services using Python
• Extract, validate, map, deduplicate, and safely import large datasets as part of data migration work
• Develop API integrations with legacy CRMs and third-party systems
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that power high-volume data workflows
• Work with FastAPI, Django, or Flask on modern backend development
• Use AI and LLM tools to accelerate coding and workflow automation
• Develop in containerised environments using Linux, Docker, and modern DevOps practices
