Senior Calypso Software Developer

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are seeking a Senior Calypso Software Developer with 3 to 5 years experience.
• We require experience of working in a regulated environment, ideally Financial Services.
• We are looking for a senior-level analyst developer or team leader.
• We value experience of, or aspiration to, leading support and development teams.
• We require knowledge and understanding of the trade life cycle, including back-office processes such as settlements, collateral, and securities.
• We require technical skills and expertise in Java, Calypso API, Oracle DBMS, Calypso V14 or later, and CATT automation and testing.
• We require a degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• We assess business requirements and provide development estimates.
• We translate user requirements into user stories and technical tasks.
• We work closely with BA and QA teams to deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
• We deliver quality code changes according to agreed timescales.
• We manage service integration and transition from CTB.
• We develop and conduct regression and NFR testing.
• We follow the change and incident management process, with ITIL preferred.
• We act as second- and third-line RTB escalation.
• We provide regular updates on development progress.
• We mentor and support junior team members.
• We maintain awareness of and comply with all Anti Money Laundering laws, regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to our company.
• We provide overnight support to ensure system stability and availability.

We are a London-based client in the City of London, offering a permanent full-time role in our I.T. & Communications team with a salary of 60,000 to 80,000, negotiable. We use Calypso V14 as our collateral management system and are investigating additional business lines including cash management, FX, and securities. We are building a team of support analysts and analyst developers to provide first-line support and development capabilities, and this role sits in our Run the Bank (RTB) team.
