Job Description

Salary: £46,000 - 71,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We need experience in a product role such as Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar, with ownership of or contribution to a product roadmap.
  • We need a track record of mapping customer journeys and translating business needs into clear requirements and functional designs.
  • We need confidence operating in a standalone product role, creating structure and product discipline where processes are still developing.
  • We need experience delivering products or features with measurable impact.
  • We need strong commercial judgement and the ability to prioritise effectively and connect product decisions to business outcomes.
  • We need enough technical fluency to design feasible products and work effectively with an engineering team, without owning the architecture.
  • We need to be highly organised, with strong prioritisation and decision-making skills.
  • We need to be a confident communicator who can work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Desirable: experience in a scaling, product-led, multi-site or field-based organisation.
  • Desirable: experience working across both customer-facing and internal or operational products.
  • Desirable: familiarity with rationalising third-party tools into a coherent ecosystem.
  • Desirable: interest in education, music, or people-led, mission-driven organisations.
  • We need the applicant to be a UK national or to have the right to work in the UK already in place.
Responsibilities:
  • We will own our core customer journey from awareness through to advocacy.
  • We will identify technology needs at each stage and prioritise what we build.
  • We will own a clear, prioritised product roadmap driven by genuine business need.
  • We will create and maintain product ways of working, including prioritisation rhythms, decision-making routes, and stakeholder communication.
  • We will make evidence-based prioritisation decisions that balance value, retention, growth, and efficiency.
  • We will act as the voice of the customer in every product decision.
  • We will lead the functional design of products and features, including experience, flows, logic, and outcomes.
  • We will own product design thinking where there is no separate Product Designer, using customer insight, stakeholder input, and practical testing.
  • We will translate business problems into clear requirements, specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • We will define measurable success criteria for every product and feature.
  • We will help rationalise existing tools and systems into a coherent product ecosystem.
  • We will track adoption, engagement, and impact after launch, and iterate based on the data.
  • We will be accountable for product impact on the business and our customers.
  • We will report regularly on product performance and impact to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • We will work with the Senior Leadership Team to translate business priorities into the product roadmap.
  • We will ensure product development aligns with organisational priorities such as quality, retention, and growth.
  • We will help shape the direction of our core platforms, including Lesson Manager, customer-facing platforms, and internal operational systems.
  • We will partner closely with our technology team, acting as the bridge between the business and engineering.
  • We will work with Education, Operations, Customer Experience, Marketing, and other teams to understand their needs and bring them on the journey.
  • We will help build a culture of product thinking across the business, focused on outcomes over output.
