Lead Business Analyst

Salary: £56,500 - 61,500 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for significant core experience as a Business Analyst, with 2+ years in a senior or lead BA role in a similar enterprise environment.
• We need proven experience coaching and mentoring other Business Analysts and helping develop team capability.
• We need strong knowledge of Agile and/or other SDLC methodologies.
• We need experience owning requirements gathering, process modelling and user story creation.
• We need excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• We need experience supporting testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• We need familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• We need strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• We need someone who is comfortable working across multiple workstreams at once.
• We value the ability to drive continuous improvement in business analysis standards and ways of working.

Responsibilities:

• We lead business analysis activities across a diverse range of large and medium-sized projects.
• We gather, analyse and document complex business requirements.
• We create user stories, process maps, specifications and solution documentation.
• We facilitate workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• We support backlog management, estimation, UAT and solution delivery.
• We coach, guide and mentor other Business Analysts.
• We help drive continuous improvement within our maturing Business Analysis environment.
• We work closely with business stakeholders, product teams and technical specialists to turn complex business needs into clear, deliverable requirements.

We are offering a permanent Lead Business Analyst role based in a hybrid Manchester setup, with a salary of £56.5k to £61.5k plus benefits. You will join a collaborative technology team where you will have genuine influence over how solutions are delivered and help shape and develop our Business Analysis function. The interview process is two stages, with an initial Teams interview followed by an in-person meeting in Manchester. The earliest start date is 1 September 2026.
