IT Support Technician

Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a minimum of 3 years experience in an IT Support or MSP environment.
• We require strong experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
• We require experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
• We require hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, including device deployment, endpoint management, policy administration and security configuration.
• We require good networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP, switching, wireless networking, routers and firewalls.
• We require experience using ticketing and remote support systems.
• We require a full UK driving licence.
• We require the ability to reliably commute to Hucknall or relocate before starting.
• We require authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.
• Desirable: experience supporting Apple devices and macOS.
• Desirable: solid knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Desirable: experience with Microsoft Defender for Business or Microsoft Defender XDR.
• Desirable: experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Desirable: relevant Microsoft, CompTIA or vendor certifications.

Responsibilities:

• We provide support for escalated technical issues while supporting the wider service desk when required.
• We deliver remote and onsite technical support to a diverse range of clients.
• We troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking and Microsoft 365 issues.
• We proactively maintain and improve client IT environments.
• We manage and update support tickets, ensuring clients receive excellent communication throughout.
• We create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• We assist with IT projects, hardware deployments and software rollouts.
• We evaluate and test new technologies, services and solutions.
• We work collaboratively with colleagues to share knowledge and maintain service excellence.
• We identify opportunities to improve client systems, security and operational efficiency.
