Field Network Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• A full UK driving licence and residence within the advertised South East region (London and surrounding areas)
• Experience with Cisco, Draytek, Zyxel and Netgear routers
• Experience with Cisco, Aruba and HP switches
• First- or second-line server and PC hardware break-fix support experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and explain technical issues clearly
• Experience providing network and PC/server field engineering services to high-profile customers
• A flexible approach to work and willingness to go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations
• Ability to apply knowledge and skills to problems beyond your own area of expertise
• Networking experience is advantageous; transferable technical skills, troubleshooting aptitude and a desire to develop are also welcome

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to customers onsite and remotely as part of our Technical Services team
• Install and support network devices, PCs and servers
• Troubleshoot technical issues remotely and onsite
• Pre-stage router and switch installations in line with documentation
• Facilitate customer adds, moves and changes, rollouts and project-based installations
• Conduct project-based site surveys and prepare documentation
• Provide post-sales support
• Visit customer sites to assess and replace non-functional equipment
• Participate in an on-call rota of no more than one week in three
