Cloud and Infrastructure Operations Manager (AWS)

Salary: £24,000 - 63,000 per year

• This role may suit a Cloud Manager, Cloud Operations Manager, Infrastructure Operations Manager or Senior AWS Engineer with leadership responsibilities who enjoys leading teams while staying technically engaged and wants to influence infrastructure strategy while remaining close to the technology.

Responsibilities:

• Own the operational management of our cloud infrastructure, with AWS at the heart of our environment.
• Ensure our cloud platforms and infrastructure services remain secure, resilient, scalable and highly available.
• Lead and develop teams responsible for TechOps, SysOps, networking and voice services.
• Drive operational excellence through automation, monitoring and proactive service management.
• Manage cloud security, performance optimisation and cost efficiency across our AWS estate.
• Oversee enterprise network services, including cloud networking, WAN, VPN and data centre connectivity.
• Support and improve our Five9 voice and telephony environment.
• Lead major incident response and drive improvements to reliability and service resilience.
• Work closely with Cyber Security, Platform Services and other senior technology stakeholders to continually improve our infrastructure landscape.
• Provide technical leadership, contribute to technical decision-making and infrastructure strategy, challenge existing approaches, drive improvements and act as a cloud subject matter expert.
