DMS Lead

Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience leading and managing technical delivery teams
• Strong understanding of document management and customer communication solutions
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and the ability to select effective delivery approaches
• Understanding of logic documents and technical specifications
• Knowledge of fulfilment methods, distribution channels and print formats
• Experience developing or managing document solutions using SmartComms or similar platforms
• Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple delivery teams and stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
• Experience managing conflicts, risks and issues within a delivery environment
• Knowledge of document architecture and the implications of document changes across wider systems
• Understanding of insurance products and relevant regulatory requirements
• Experience delivering multi-channel communications, including email, print, SMS and PDF solutions
• SmartComms Document Template Author Certification or equivalent qualification (desirable)
• Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence (desirable)
• Strong understanding of document governance, standards and best-practice frameworks (desirable)
• Experience acting as a technical subject matter expert within change programmes (desirable)
• Knowledge of customer communication management platforms and technologies (desirable)
• Experience driving process improvement and operational efficiency (desirable)
• Responsible use of artificial intelligence

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of SmartComms Engineers, setting objectives and conducting regular performance reviews
• Collaborate with other DMS Leads to prioritise and deliver document changes aligned with business requirements and resource availability
• Manage competing demands and identify alternative delivery approaches where required
• Provide technical direction and expertise, ensuring solutions align with best-practice standards
• Drive effective use of document management toolsets to meet business and customer needs
• Act as our UK business owner for SmartComms, ensuring compliance with local and Group policies and standards
• Support wider change programmes by identifying and managing interdependencies across teams and projects
• Ensure document solutions are designed efficiently using shared assets, templates and datasets to support future development
• Work with stakeholders across our business to manage risks, issues and delivery priorities
• Champion continuous improvement in document development and fulfilment processes

Join our Document Management Services team as a DMS Lead, helping shape customer communications across multiple channels and influence business change through technical leadership and best practice. The role is based in our Guildford or Bournemouth office, with hybrid working and an expectation to attend the office two days per week. Pay is approximately £70,000 per year, with the salary reflecting experience, skills and location.
