Machine Learning Scientist, Mid-Level

Salary: £71,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• Team player who is curious, eager to learn, and communicates effectively with technical and non-technical partners
• Ability to deliver work on time and to specification
• Genuine interest in AI, including hands-on exploration of AI tools and motivation to develop further skills
• PhD or masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field preferred; alternatively, a masters degree with 2+ years of practical experience
• Knowledge of A/B test design and analysis
• Strong background in machine learning and statistics
• Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms
• Proficiency in Python for numerical and statistical programming, including NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn
• Ability to interpret and write complex SQL queries
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hive and Spark
• Track record of leading the deployment and maintenance of models
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered tools

Responsibilities:

• Apply machine learning models to core business problems across marketing
• Identify opportunities to apply data science and machine learning across marketing channels, including paid, organic, search, demand creation, affiliates, and CRM
• Automate ETL pipelines
• Prototype, evaluate, deploy, and maintain machine learning models in production
• Design A/B tests and analyze their results
• Find new ways to analyze and interpret data
• Communicate progress and interpretations of experimental results to technical and business stakeholders
• Take ownership of projects and identify new business opportunities and problems where machine learning can help
