Salary: £45,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We need administrative experience of large-scale IT systems in a large organisation, either in a technical support or development role.
  • We need advanced Microsoft tool expertise, or a demonstrable interest in developing technical expertise in this area.
  • We need experience working with external suppliers providing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SaaS-based solutions.
  • We need the ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced academic environment and build strong working relationships across a wider IT team.
  • We need the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively and respond promptly to new requirements.
  • We need experience in the specification, design, development, integration, testing and documentation of large or complex systems.
  • We need the ability to review systems designs, assess risks, and support architecture and integration decisions.
  • We need experience specifying user and system interfaces, including validation, security, audit controls, recovery routines and contingency procedures.
  • We need experience maintaining application support processes and using application management tools to investigate issues and produce reports.
  • We may also need experience in line management and leadership of staff supporting technical and functional solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • We support internal teams and external partners to develop, maintain and provide technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights solutions.
  • We assist with requirements gathering, review solutions provided by partners, develop and maintain in-house solutions, and respond to support requests.
  • We provide technical support for the services underpinning our Email and Collaborative tools, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights.
  • We specify, design, develop, integrate, test and document large or complex systems.
  • We review other systems designs to ensure appropriate technology selection, efficient use of resources, and integration across multiple systems.
  • We contribute to policies for selecting architecture components and evaluate major design options, including impact analysis and risk assessment.
  • We specify user and system interfaces, including validation, error correction, access, security, audit controls, recovery routines and contingency procedures.
  • We assist with translating logical designs into physical designs.
  • We maintain application support processes and ensure support requests are handled according to agreed procedures.
  • We use application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
  • We may provide line management and leadership for staff supporting technical and functional solutions and/or services in our technical domain.
