Remote Full Stack Engineer - Cloud & SaaS Integrations
Job Description
Salary: £51,000 - 91,000 per year
Requirements:- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, shipping and owning production features
- Strong TypeScript skills, including modern frontend development; React is preferred
- Hands-on Go experience, or strong backend experience in another language (Python, Java, Node.js, or C#) and genuine enthusiasm for ramping up in Go
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating third-party APIs, including authentication, pagination, rate limits, partial failures, and breaking changes
- Comfortable working across the stack and owning features from the database through to the interface
- Working proficiency in SQL
- Experience developing cloud solutions or using cloud services such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
- User-focused approach to operational tooling, including clear, actionable error messages
- An AI-augmented working style, with practical use of AI tools across the engineering workflow
- Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectural principles
- Demonstrated passion for creating high-quality web or SaaS applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Self-organized, goal-oriented, self-motivated, confident, thorough, and tenacious
- Bonus: Experience building integration platforms or extensibility frameworks as a core part of a product
- Bonus: Experience with cloud or SaaS billing data, such as AWS/GCP/Azure cost and usage exports, AI vendor billing data, marketplace billing, or the FOCUS specification
- Bonus: Experience with Google BigQuery or data pipelines and orchestration tools such as Dagster or Airflow
- Bonus: Experience building AI-powered product features, including LLM integration or intelligent automation
- Bonus: Exposure to FinOps practices or cloud financial management products
- Bonus: BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- Design and ship integrations with third-party billing and usage APIs, including authentication, incremental sync, rate limits, error handling, and schema changes
- Improve our Integrations Framework, testing harnesses, and scaffolding so new integrations require less effort
- Use AI throughout the engineering workflow, including exploring codebases and APIs, prototyping, generating and reviewing code, debugging, testing, and documentation; assess where AI improves velocity and where human judgment is needed
- Build customer-facing interfaces for connecting, configuring, and managing integrations, including status visibility, actionable errors, credential and key rotation, and feedback when attention is needed
- Build self-service capabilities for backfills, reconnects, and diagnostics for customers and internal teams
- Make platform capabilities available through APIs as well as the user interface, for both people and agents
- Implement features end to end, from proposal and specification through implementation and maintenance, and propose valuable additions proactively
