Remote DevOps Engineer

Salary: £41,000 - 77,000 per year

Requirements:

• At least 1.5 years of experience in a technology-focused role using Python
• Ability to pass a technical assessment in Python, Java, or JavaScript
• Commitment to complete a 16-week, part-time course
• Practical experience with automated delivery pipelines and modern GitOps tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Helm, ArgoCD, Flux, Jenkins, or Terraform
• Strong working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes; Red Hat OpenShift experience is an advantage
• Ability to automate tasks and optimize workflows using Bash, Python, or Go
• Hands-on exposure to public, private, or hybrid cloud environments such as AWS, IBM Cloud, GCP, or Azure
• Proven ability to collaborate across development and operations teams

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain GitOps pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Helm, and ArgoCD
• Develop and optimize infrastructure using Terraform and related automation tools across hybrid cloud environments
• Support containerization and migration of legacy batch components to Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Align continuous delivery ecosystems with AWS best practices for scalability, security, and high availability
• Partner with application and infrastructure teams to streamline version control, manage artifact registries, and reduce deployment friction
