Application Architect

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven application architect experience
• Experience in large-scale transformation programmes
• Strong Azure expertise, including AKS, Azure Functions, and API Management
• Hands-on experience with microservices, Kubernetes, containerisation, CI/CD, and DevSecOps
• Software engineering background, ideally in Java
• Experience designing modern APIs and web applications
• Financial services experience preferred, particularly in pensions, insurance, or wealth management
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to guide engineering teams

• Design and govern cloud-native solutions on Azure for a modern platform
• Contribute to a major financial services transformation programme
• Work closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to shape technical direction
