Requirements:

• Strong Python development skills, particularly for automation and operational tooling.
• Experience in DevOps, Production Engineering, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
• Experience supporting business-critical, high-availability applications.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and software development lifecycles.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, resilience, failover, and capacity management.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across applications and infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive approach with strong ownership and problem-solving capability.
• Financial Services, Capital Markets, or Trading Technology experience is advantageous.
• Exposure to risk, trading, or regulatory technology is advantageous.
• Experience with cloud, containers, and modern DevOps tooling is advantageous.
• Experience in large-scale distributed or high-performance computing environments is advantageous.

We are recruiting an experienced Python Application DevOps Engineer for a permanent, hybrid role in London with a financial services firm. You will join a high-performing engineering team supporting critical technology platforms in a complex, high-volume environment, working across application, infrastructure, and engineering teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational performance.
