Solution Architect - Data & AI Specialist

Salary: £75,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Senior/Principal architect experience, including experience in NHS/Healthcare
• Experience leading development teams and guiding clients through workshops
• Experience identifying business growth opportunities
• Deep hands-on expertise designing, documenting, and delivering resilient, high-availability enterprise applications on AWS, including serverless patterns and appropriate integration components
• Strong understanding of building agentic AI platforms on AWS, including Bedrock, orchestrations, RAG, gateways/MCP, and awareness of emerging concepts and standards
• Strong development background, ideally in Java or JavaScript
• Robust API design, documentation, and versioning experience
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, including Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strict quality-first mindset, including unit testing and automated tooling
• Excellent written, verbal, and diagrammatic communication skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for senior stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Design enterprise cloud applications, specializing in agentic AI platform components such as orchestration, memory, tool integration, identity, guardrails, and observability, as well as emerging Agentic Commerce
• Serve as an outward-facing leader who runs workshops, participates in governance, and collaborates with business streams to identify and shape technical growth opportunities
• Remain close to the detail by proving solutions, reviewing code, and mentoring engineering teams to set a high bar for quality, automation, and best practices
• Act as the senior authority on complex cloud architectures, especially AWS serverless, and establish technical governance, design standards, risk management, NFRs, and technical debt management
• Design AWS-based agentic AI platforms, including orchestration, RAG, memory, guardrails, and MCP, and establish reusable patterns
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, translate complex concepts, and facilitate technical discovery workshops
• Proactively identify, shape, and pitch technical solutions to drive business growth
• Provide hands-on technical ownership by proving solutions, reviewing code, and designing robust API and integration patterns
• Champion a quality-first mindset using Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and automation
• Mentor engineers and architects, share knowledge on emerging technologies, and raise the overall technical bar across the ITH Group
