Senior Software Engineer Java / AWS

Salary: £37,000 - 68,500 per year

Requirements:

• Around 5-8 years commercial software engineering experience
• Strong Java development experience
• Strong AWS experience
• Full-stack experience with TypeScript, JavaScript and React is highly desirable
• Experience with modern software development practices and CI/CD
• Comfortable working in Agile environments
• Strong understanding of software design, development and testing
• Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients
• Consultancy experience is desirable, particularly experience delivering bespoke software solutions
• Must be able to obtain UK security clearance
• Current SC clearance is preferred, although clearable candidates may also be considered
• Must be based in the UK
• Sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and test bespoke software solutions
• Build scalable applications using Java and AWS
• Work across the full stack, with TypeScript, JavaScript and React highly desirable
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab
• Deploy applications across public and private cloud environments
• Work within Agile development teams
• Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions
• Work closely with clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Support software through implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement
