Lead DevOps Engineer

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Significant production experience with at least two of AWS, Azure and GCP
• Deep production Kubernetes experience
• Strong GitOps and infrastructure as code experience at scale
• CI/CD pipeline automation experience
• Extensive experience with declarative orchestration and configuration management
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 CI/CD Security Risks and embedding security controls into delivery pipelines
• Experience mentoring engineers, leading technical initiatives or acting as a technical lead
• Strong communication skills, including documenting standards and influencing engineering teams

Responsibilities:

• Lead a small DevOps team and shape how the team works
• Develop engineers and drive the technical direction of a growing cloud platform
• Provide day-to-day direction to the team and establish consistent engineering standards
• Build the teams capability while working closely with development and infrastructure teams
• Support products across AWS, Azure and GCP
• Lead improvements across automation, GitOps, infrastructure as code and CI/CD
• Reduce manual effort while improving observability, SLOs, security, resilience and reliability
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex production issues
• Participate in the shared on-call rota
