Cyber Security Specialist

Salary: £68,000 - 108,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience working in cyber security, with a strong grasp of core security principles and how to apply them in the real world
• Experience supporting or participating in incident response
• Demonstrable fluency in AI prompt and context engineering, applied to practical work
• The ability to give clear, practical security guidance to technical and non-technical people alike
• Familiarity with common security technologies, including monitoring platforms, endpoint security, cloud controls, and vulnerability tooling
• Working knowledge of frameworks such as NIST CSF or ISO 27001
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or GCIH are a plus, though experience counts just as much
• Experience in regulated, enterprise-scale or manufacturing environments is a plus
• Exposure to cloud platforms or security operations tooling at scale is a plus
• We are looking for someone who is pragmatic and risk-aware, comfortable being a generalist across a broad range of technologies, a clear communicator, able to influence without authority, stay calm under pressure, and juggle competing priorities without dropping the ones that matter

Responsibilities:

• Turn our security policies and standards into practical, proportionate controls that teams actually adopt
• Act as a core member of our incident response capability, coordinating or leading response across detection, triage, containment, eradication and recovery, then driving lessons learned
• Investigate alerts, guide vulnerability remediation, keep on top of threat intelligence, and make sure real risks get acted on
• Provide pragmatic, trusted security guidance to IT, engineering and business teams on projects, in change management, and in day-to-day decisions
• Use AI as a force multiplier to accelerate investigation, analysis, documentation and response
• Demonstrate an AI-assisted approach to a realistic security scenario during the interview process
