Product Manager - Healthcare
Job Description
Salary: £19,500 - 35,500 per year
Requirements:- Experience in bespoke software delivery, working as part of an agile team for an external customer; client-facing consulting experience is required.
- Healthcare or public sector experience.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle, from analysis through to acceptance, launch, and live operations.
- Excellent workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to lead stakeholder groups to focused outcomes.
- Experience modelling as-is and to-be business processes and presenting them to stakeholders and the team to build understanding and buy-in.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to challenge decisions appropriately and adapt communication styles.
- Ability to break down work from inception through to delivery and maintain a quality, mature team backlog.
- Experience eliciting functional, technical, and non-functional requirements and translating them into clear user stories.
- Ability to use prioritisation techniques to refine the backlog and manage dependencies.
- Proven ability to manage scope to meet MVP requirements and deliver value.
- Ability to work within commercial constraints such as cost restrictions and project deadlines.
- Strong user story writing skills with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate on breaking down work into deliverable pieces.
- Experience contributing to sales activities such as bids and sales proposals.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with the ability to mentor team members and coach clients.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop junior team members and the wider community.
- Ability to explain technical jargon to non-technical and commercial audiences.
- Own our team backlog maturity and take responsibility for features from inception through delivery.
- Drive MVP thinking and communicate its value to the team, wider project team, and stakeholders.
- Lead the team and confidently run agile ceremonies.
- Encourage engagement and discussion within the team.
- Plan and run workshops with a range of stakeholders to facilitate consensus in areas of uncertainty.
- Participate actively in our Product capability and support the delivery of initiatives.
- Manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on employee performance.
