System of Systems Integration Lead

Salary: £30,000 - 52,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced engineer.
• We need proven experience in developing and integrating complex systems, preferably in the defence industry.
• We need strong systems thinking skills with the ability to initiate and drive trade studies.
• We need excellent communication skills to convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• We need experience developing requirement sets and the ability to agree these collaboratively with different stakeholder groups, including System Design Authorities and government organisations.
• We need project engineering knowledge to design and deliver work packages.
• We require candidates to be a British citizen or a dual UK national with British citizenship.
• Candidates must be able to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks after offer stage.

Responsibilities:

• We lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary engineering team in engagement with our customer and industry partners.
• We support integration of our land product into a wider Ground Based Air Defence Weapon System context.
• We work with the customer to define System of Systems requirements, including evolution paths for future development.
• We act as the main technical point of contact for the customer and industry partners for all System of Systems activities and technical queries.
• We lead regular technical working groups with the customer and coordinate required inputs from engineering teams.
• We coordinate and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team on technical issues, queries, and conflict resolution.
• We coordinate responses to and from the customer and industrial partners.
• We travel overseas regularly to support engagement with the customer and industry partners.

The salary is circa 65,000 depending on experience.
