Senior Test Automation Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong automation expertise and excellent API, browser, and performance automation skills.

• We need expert-level proficiency in modern programming languages, with the architectural insight to design and uphold rigorous engineering standards.
• We value deep mastery of Appium, XCUITest, or Espresso, including experience managing emulators and simulators, debugging mobile-specific issues, and basic integration with mobile device farms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• We are looking for proven ability to architect, develop, and scale sophisticated automated testing frameworks for cross-stack validation across UI, API, backend, and mobile systems.
• We need expertise in building, securing, and refining CI/CD infrastructure to fully automate the software lifecycle and support high-velocity release cycles.
• We value advanced diagnostic capabilities for deconstructing complex system failures and implementing systemic preventative measures.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and Playwright is considered a bonus.
• Senior-level experience managing Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or complex orchestration and scheduling ecosystems is considered a bonus.
• Specialized knowledge of video engineering, low-latency streaming, or digital media delivery pipelines is considered a bonus.
• Background in hardware-in-the-loop automation or firmware testing is considered a bonus.

Responsibilities:

• We are responsible for the mission-critical infrastructure that powers our VMS.
• We are evolving our platform to support deep-tier interconnection across the Motorola product portfolio.
• We design and scale sophisticated automated testing frameworks using tools like TypeScript and Playwright across UI, API, and backend systems.
• We architect and scale robust mobile test automation frameworks from scratch, optimizing them for high-speed parallel execution across varied OS versions and device types.
• We support the shift from traditional QA to continuous quality benchmarks for AI and real-time systems.
• We directly contribute to public safety and enterprise security by assuring the quality of cutting-edge solutions.
