Senior AI Engineer

Salary: £52,000 - 92,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for people who experiment, prototype, and explore emerging AI tools in their own time.
• We need a strong foundation in a language suited to AI system development and data workflows.
• We need experience integrating models with APIs, data sources, or production systems.
• We are looking for curiosity about LLMs, RAG pipelines (graph-based and vector-based), and agent frameworks.
• We need an understanding of cloud-native practices across AWS, GCP, or Azure, and DevOps or DevSecOps practices.
• We value a collaborative mindset and a willingness to share, learn, and teach.
• We need an understanding of prompt and context engineering, and model evaluation.
• We need a solid grasp of distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• We need an understanding of LLMOps tools for managing GenAI workflows.

Responsibilities:

• We work to agile best practices and cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• We use our technical skills to solve problems with clients and on internal projects.
• We participate in live in-person whiteboarding sessions to solve problems as a team, alongside asynchronous communication on Teams.
• We experiment with generative AI frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and APIs from OpenAI and Anthropic.
• We build retrieval-augmented generation prototypes with vector stores and knowledge graphs.
• We develop and test agentic architectures through our Genie Platform, enabling AI agents that reason, retrieve, and act across systems.
• We explore LLMOps, evaluation tools, and model observability platforms like TruLens and LangSmith.
• We deploy solutions on modern cloud and DevOps environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, choosing the right tools for the problem at hand.
• We constantly learn, test, and share findings across our internal AI community.
