Security Architecture Consultant (Cryptography & Quantum Security)

Salary: £52,000 - 92,000 per year

Requirements:

• Security architecture experience
• Applied cryptography, PKI, key management, or related cybersecurity experience
• Understanding of public key cryptography, certificates, and trust services
• Experience producing assessments, roadmaps, and technical recommendations
• Strong consulting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to explain complex technical topics to senior business and technology stakeholders
• Desirable experience with cloud security architecture, enterprise identity and access management, DevSecOps, code signing, network security, operational technology or critical infrastructure, and security transformation programmes
• Experience with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standards, migration planning, or cryptographic agility initiatives is beneficial but not required
• Relevant certifications may include CISSP, SABSA, CCSK, cloud security, security architecture, or cryptography-related certifications
• Applicants must meet the stated UK residency prerequisite for security clearance: be a British citizen or have been resident in the UK for the past five years
• All our people must undergo background checks and achieve the Baseline Personnel Security Standard; some UK roles require higher levels of National Security Vetting

• Carry out security architecture and secure-by-design activities
• Provide cryptography and PKI advisory services
• Conduct PQC readiness assessments and plan migrations
• Perform cryptographic discovery and inventory activities
• Contribute to cloud, enterprise, and technology transformation programmes
• Lead client workshops and engage with stakeholders
• Develop PQC propositions, methods, and thought leadership
• Support bids and business development activities
