Remote DevOps Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong experience administering and securing Linux hosts on both virtual and physical infrastructure.
- Extensive experience using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling, such as Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
- Experience configuring, managing, and securing public cloud infrastructure, such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience administering containerised applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience administering IP networking in a corporate environment.
- Experience automating tasks using languages and tools such as Bash, Python, JavaScript, and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of security testing and monitoring tooling, such as SAST and SIEM products.
- Knowledge of monitoring tooling for application and infrastructure metrics, such as Prometheus, Datadog, and Open Telemetry.
- Experience contributing to incident response across a complex microservice-based application is particularly valued.
- Application security best practice, including identifying threats and vulnerabilities in applications and cloud infrastructure, designing secure software systems, and implementing robust security measures, is particularly valued.
- Automate the deployment, operation, and maintenance of systems in a hybrid cloud environment using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling.
- Administer systems and applications hosted on Linux-based systems.
- Design, deploy, and maintain IP networks.
- Create robust automated solutions that allow development teams to self-serve routine infrastructure requests.
- Improve code security by integrating security testing tools into build and deployment pipelines.
- Implement effective monitoring of the reliability and security of applications and infrastructure services.
