QA Automation Engineer

Salary: £34,000 - 58,000 per year

Requirements:

• Enthusiastic and experienced QA Automation Engineer who enjoys working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
• Experience using C# and SpecFlow/ReqNRoll to build automated test suites
• Experience with the Page Object Model (POM)
• Strong experience in test automation using C# and Selenium WebDriver
• At least 3 years experience writing automated tests
• Experience building test frameworks from scratch
• Experience with Azure (APIM, Azure Functions, API Services), React/React Native, and .NET Core
• Experience working in a CI/CD pipeline environment
• Good understanding of test-driven design principles and writing clean test code
• Proficiency in at least one major API testing framework
• Strong understanding of the software product development lifecycle, Agile delivery methodologies, Scrum/Kanban, and testing processes
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
• Experience with API testing (REST, Postman)
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Ability to embody and promote QA principles and practices
• Knowledge of YAML, Terraform, and SQL for test data validation
• Pragmatic approach to balancing automation and manual testing
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence

Responsibilities:

• Work as an embedded member of the Scrum team, focusing on quality and automated testing
• Develop and maintain automated tests for back-end services, web-based user interfaces, mobile apps, and APIs using appropriate tools such as Selenium and BrowserStack
• Work closely with developers, the Product Owner, business analysts, and the wider team to define and develop effective test solutions
• Raise defects in accordance with the defect management process using Jira
• Develop and maintain automated functional and regression tests
