Network Support Engineer

Salary: £67,000 - 107,000 per year

Requirements:

• We look for experience in a network support or IT support role.
• We expect an understanding of LAN/WAN networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and network fundamentals.
• We look for experience in ticket-driven, SLA-focused environments.
• We value exposure to network platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar.
• We value strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• We look for good communication and teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• We ask you to diagnose and resolve network incidents and service requests, restoring service promptly.
• We expect you to own incidents, provide clear updates, communicate effectively, and maintain accurate documentation.
• We ask you to manage tickets in line with SLAs and operational standards, including prioritisation and progression.
• We expect you to configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
• We ask you to follow established incident, change, and escalation processes.
• We expect you to escalate issues appropriately, providing clear diagnostics, context, and impact.
• We ask you to collaborate with Senior Engineers, the Team Leader, and wider teams to support service restoration and resolution.
