Full Stack Engineer

Salary: £49,000 - 89,000 per year

Requirements:

• Were looking for a mid-level developer with experience in TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node, PostgreSQL and AWS.
• We expect strong coding fundamentals, including data structures, API design, testing and version control, plus sound judgement about when to be rigorous and when to ship.
• Were looking for a frequent user of AI coding tools who follows developments in the field and has informed opinions about what works.
• We require experience building with or integrating LLM APIs, such as Anthropic or OpenAI, or personal projects that demonstrate a genuine interest.
• You should be comfortable thriving in a small team and wearing more than one hat.
• You should be comfortable working in our London office Tuesday to Thursday.
• Nice to have: experience in fintech, financial services or other regulated environments.
• Nice to have: familiarity with RAG pipelines, embeddings, prompt engineering or agentic frameworks.
• Nice to have: cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP or Azure), CI/CD or infrastructure-as-code.
• Nice to have: open-source contributions or a portfolio of side projects, especially AI-related.
• Nice to have: startup or scale-up experience.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with our CTO on the platform behind our business.
• Design, build and ship features end-to-end across the platform.
• Expand our stack with new services, integrations and LLM-powered product features.
• Use AI development tools as standard practice and help shape how our team gets the most from them.
• Contribute to architecture decisions as our platform scales.
• Write clean, well-tested code and carefully review the work of others.
• Debug, profile and improve performance, reliability and security.

More:

Weve built a live comparison service for the UK wealth industry and are expanding our technology stack. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in London, with office attendance Tuesday to Thursday and the option to work from home Monday and Friday. The salary is £70,000–£80,000. Youll join the core build and collaborate directly with our CTO, with daily mentorship and real influence over technical direction as we expand the platform. We provide a budget for AI tools, hardware, and learning and development, plus 25 days of holiday in addition to bank holidays and a pension scheme.
