Remote Backend Software Engineer (Rust)

Salary: £60,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience, including at least 1 year writing production-grade Rust.
• Based between UTC-5 and UTC+4.
• Strong systems-level thinking and ability to debug complex, distributed environments.
• Comfortable working asynchronously in a remote-first startup environment.
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments, including Docker, containers, and Kubernetes, beyond the basics.
• Familiarity with backend infrastructure tooling such as datastores, message brokers, and GitOps tools.
• Good communication skills.
• Nice to have: experience building developer tools.
• Nice to have: experience building Kubernetes operators or other components that interact with the Kubernetes API.
• Nice to have: DevOps or Platform experience.
