Data Administrator

Salary: £35,000 - 36,000 per year

Requirements:

• Previous career experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or similar relational databases
• Experience building and maintaining ETL processes and data integrations
• Knowledge of database performance tuning, security, and backup procedures
• Understanding of data governance, GDPR, and data management best practices
• Experience with APIs and integrating multiple business systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and optimise systems and database infrastructure
• Work closely with a third-party database design consultant
• Build and manage ETL processes and system integrations
• Monitor database performance, security, and data integrity
• Consolidate or build data flows
• Ensure compliance with data governance and GDPR requirements
• Conduct diagnostic tests
• Collaborate with IT teams and third-party providers on database solutions
• Provide technical guidance and support on database technologies
• Lead the design, development, maintenance, and optimisation of databases, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and fit for the future
