Solution Architect

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience delivering IM&T solutions and associated architecture deliverables
• Good experience in the design, development, testing and release of Information Systems
• Knowledge and experience working within architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
• Understanding of IM&T and software development lifecycles, including methodologies such as Agile, and associated reviews, policies, standards and governance processes
• Previous technical leadership experience, such as acting as a Technical Authority
• Applicants must meet at least the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, which typically require 5 to 10 years of continuous UK residency, depending on the vetting level
• Security and export control restrictions may limit eligibility based on factors including nationality, previously held nationalities and place of birth

Responsibilities:

• Define the projects solution architecture and design to meet business and system requirements within cost and timescale constraints and the agreed architectural and technical framework
• Capture and define the as-is and to-be application, data and technology architectures for assigned projects
• Ensure and assure that the solutions overall functional and technical design is acceptable and fit for purpose
• Provide Project Technical Authority leadership for the IM&T solution and associated third parties and product teams, ensuring the architecture and design meet requirements and are communicated effectively
• Liaise with internal and external IM&T suppliers and product teams
• Work with Project Managers to support project plan development and review estimates and schedules
