Software Engineer II - Full Stack React/Java Developer

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with React.js, Java, Spring Boot microservices, Oracle databases, Kafka messaging, and GKP deployments.
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database query languages.
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages.
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline, such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools at work, such as for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation, with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Execute standard software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language, with limited guidance.
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot while considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
• Apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve basic-complexity technical problems.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistance to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• Apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized from automation.
• Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making for secure, stable application development.
• Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills to develop secure, stable code and systems.
